Friendship Lodge Raising 2019-12

At Friendship Lodge No. 691 recent 3rd degree the Brown family was out in strength. Bro. John Brown (Friendship Lodge), sons Wor. Bro. James Brown (P.M. Zeta-Shamrock #410, Lodge, Ajax, ON), Bro. Thomas Brown (J.D. Frienship Lodge) and son-in-law Wor. Bro. Alan Fey (W.M Friendship Lodge) were all present for the raising of Bro. Jason Brown (Friendship Lodge). Another son Bro. Rodney(Friendship Lodge) was unable to attend the meeting. As a matter of interest, Wor. Bro. James Brown was the last sitting master of Shamrock Lodge No. 410 and was instrumental in acquiring the current seating in the Belrock Masonic Centre lodge room.

Nickel Raising Bro. Edgar 2019-11

November 6th was a busy night for Nickel Lodge No. 427. They started with a ceremony to celebrate 25 years of service by R.W. Brother Clive Stephenson with R.W. Bro. Paavo Liukko's assistance.

Also, Bro. Michael Edgar was raised to the third degree.

These events were observed by our visitors from near and afar: W. Bro. Paul Brais, W.M. of Kitimat Lodge No. 169 in B.C., W. Bro. Robert Tailleur of Bethel Lodge No. 699, and Bro. Matthew Daoust of City of Lakes Lodge No. 536 and Dundrum Lodge No. 488 in Ireland

Nickel Raising Bro Cotton 2019-09

On Wednesday, September 4th, Bro. Ghislain Cotton was raised to the third degree.

It was also the occasion of R.W. Bro. Robert J. Lipic's first fraternal visit as D.D.G.M. to assist R.W. Bro. Paavo Liukko with the investiture of the District's Grand Steward, V.W. Bro. Thomas E. King.

It was also an event that had several V.W. Brethren on hand to witness the occasion.

City of Lakes Lodge Raising Kennedy

The members of, and visitors to, City of Lakes Lodge No 536's second Regular Meeting were treated to a few events on Tuesday, September 11, 2018. First was the investiture of V.W. Bro. Alan Hill as a Grand Steward. Next, was the raising of Bro. Clayton Kennedy. Finally, R.W. Bro. Daigle presented the Cornerstone Lodge certificate.

Sudbury Lodge Final Closing

Monday, May 14th marked the day of the final closing of Sudbury Lodge No. 658 ahead of their amalgamation with Algonquin Lodge No. 536. The work of the evening was the raising of Brother Joel Eugene Zazulak. R. W. Bro. Reg Daigle, District Deputy Grand Master of the Sudbury-Manitoulin District attended on a fraternal visit.

Algonquin Raising Rautiainen

At Algonquin Lodge No. 536's 1000th regular meeting, Bro. Simo Rautiainen was raised. The working tools that were used at their first meeting were on display. As well, R.W. Brian Koivu, Treasurer of the Masonic Foundation of Ontario, presented a Certificate of Appreciation from the Masonic Foundation of Ontario for Algonquin Lodge's generous donation to the Prostate Hope Prostate Cancer Research Project.

Sudbury Lodge Raising Mantler

R.W. Bro. Daigle, D.D.G.M. for the Sudbury-Manitoulin District, was on a fraternal visit when Sudbury Lodge No. 658 raised Bro. Steven Mantler on Monday, March 19th.

Nickel Official Visit Raising Carr

Nickel Lodge No. 427 had an official visit by R.W. Bro. Daigle on March 7th, 2018. At that meeting, Bro. Chris Carr was raised. A cheque for the District Project was presented, and the D.D.G.M. gave an interesting talk on the Widows Sons.

Nickel Raising Tizzard

At Nickel Lodge No 427's February 21st Emergent meeting, Bro. Jordan Tizzard was raised.

Sudbury Lodge Bro. Branch Raising

Monday, January 15th, 2018 saw Bro. Kevin Branch get raised by Sudbury Lodge No. 658. R. W. Bro. Reg Daigle, District Deputy Grand Master of the Sudbury-Manitoulin District attended on a fraternal visit.

Gore Bay ​Marcus​ ​Mohr Raising

On Thursday,​ ​September​ ​14th, Bro. ​Marcus​ ​Mohr was raised in Gore Bay. They had a ​couple​ ​visiting members,​ ​one​ ​being​ ​the​ ​candidates's​ ​uncle, W. Bro. Robert O. Davis Jr. who is from Olive Temple Lodge No. 557 in Tionesta, Pennsylvania.​

The​ ​other​ visitor ​was​ ​be​ their German​ ​Brother​ ​with​ ​a​ ​special​ ​presentation on​ ​the​ ​ceremony. Bro. Georg Wolf's presentation was of the establishment of lodges in Germany, ritual work, and seating placement of the officers and brethren. Bro. Secretary of Gore Bay said, "it was very interesting and Bro. Wolf did an excellent job in presenting it."
